Post Sat 19th June - Changed!
This post has changed, please read to make sure you are updated.

Hello,

Originally we had a run for Thurston Chipmunk Traverse. The trail is not currently not passable base on most current trip reports from people who have headed there and can get to the view point and not much further. Since Filip was the only person that had signed up for this day run. We discussed moving the day run to Sunday and heading to the Squamish area to explore the Ashlu Valley and Cloudburst Mountain trails.

Meeting spot is at the Shell Station south of Squamish (https://goo.gl/maps/BnH2M12jKPn55MNH7) at 10:30am. Will head to the trail head for air down and start of the trek.

Please indicate if you are coming out for this day run.

Wishing you a great day.

Bob

---------Trip Report---------
Met with Filip, Sergey, Garry and Terry at the Squamish Valley trail head. We aired down the tires and headed into Ashly Valley. First place we were looking for was Ashlu Mine. We went as far as we could with the Jeeps/Land Cruiser, and hiked a bit to the mine site. Next we explored a couple of tributary trails off the mainline, then headed for the other side of the river. Found a forest trail that went toward Ashlu Mountain. Few river crossings that made the trail fun. Would up at a constructed log boom on the river by a nice waterfall where we had lunch. Dealt with two flat tires along the way. Overall an excellent exploration adventure.

Hello,

If you are interested in a run to Thurston Chipmunk Traverse, on Saturday 19th June. Meeting spot is at the Wendy’s in the parking lot (https://goo.gl/maps/pA3V2k26udLWPwBM6) at 10am. Will head to the trail head for air down and head up the trail. Please indicate if you are interested and coming out. If no one registers for this run by Friday the 18th by 5pm I will be cancelling this run.

This is an official club run, looking forward to seeing everyone who can come out.

Stock vehicles on 33 can make this run.

Wishing you a great day.

Bob
