Post March monthly club run - March 17 - NEW LOCATION - HALE CRK
This run has been changed from Norrish Creek to Hale Creek. The reason for this is because Wes and Gerry were at Hale Creek with the association run this past weekend and found that the south trail is in poor shape. We had discussed doing some work on this trail and it appears the time has now come to do so.

Two main concerns need to be addressed. First, windfall/deadfall. Many trees have come down, branches are becoming hazardous, and generally the brush needs to be cut back.

Second, just before the rock garden, the creek is washing away the road. If something is not done soon, no access will be possible on the south road. We need to move some rocks and shore up the edge of the road against erosion of this could actually wash away.

To that end, please meet at the Sasquatch at 9:30, departing at 10. Bring shovels, picks, chainsaws, pruners, and anything else you think might be of use for either clearing back brush or moving rocks around.

The long term forecast shows good weather and 14 degrees on Sunday so this should be ideal working conditions for us. Please help out in any way you can.

For those without dairy allergies, pick up a shamrock shake from McDonalds. After the run we can go for a green beer.

I am in.

Normally I'd be all in on this, but will not be able to make this one. April, will jump right in, if another day is needed.
Have fun all!

Do I just bring my small 009L saw, or should I also bring my bigger 290?

How many saws are coming?

I'll have my saw which is big enough to deal with anything we are likely to encounter. Just bring your small saw, Wes. I think most of what we need to deal with is the small alder and maple shoots by the edge of the trail.
