May Long Campout 2018, Hedley East Rec Site

Everyone usually arrives Friday evening but you are welcome to go up Thursday if you like and stay till Monday. We will be camping at the Old Hedley Road East Rec Site. Google it or turn left after last bridge before entering the Town of Hedley. The Gas is hit and miss in Hedley, mostly miss, so make sure you have some extra or fill up in Princeton. The camping is in the valley so temperatures should be OK. The Runs around there will be mostly stock friendly, but prepare for snow. A trip up to the Mine might be in order depending on snow level. Apex mt. will most likely be out of the picture. this time but we are wanting to really get to know this area well.
The campground has pit toilets and a river for water. The scenery is beautiful and there is lots to explore in area.

Laurie and I are aiming to join for the weekend, I haven't been to Hedley yet for backcountry exploring. Paul, when you asked on the radio at yesterday's run I was getting my long weekends confused. :pat:

I'll be leaving Friday AM.
The question is: do we want sites on the south side of the road against the (sometimes raging and noisy) river, or on the north side of the road where we camped a few years ago?
Now that I think about it, the noisy river might be the better option, it will drown out the sound of people snoring.
I will save as many sites as I can.
ps: fee is $12.00 per nite, cash only.

I likely wouldn't get there till Saturday early afternoon. The week approaching a long weekend means I work late every day.

Raging river sounds AWESOME :bananav2:

Just bought WJ Overland Dana 30 and 44a with 3:73 and front/rear Variloc LSD's today. Just need to clean em up and swap em in but it may not happen before Hedley. Change fluids, covers, ball joints and bushings first.
