Post July Long weekend
Have been discussing possibilities on locations for the July long weekend campout and so far we have come up with the possibility of Copper Creek, PlacerLake area if anybody else has any ideas please post up for and let me know

Just an update,
This is rustic camping, no water, tables where we will be staying

A few people get Friday off instead of Monday. Perhaps there will be less traffic for us lucky few.

I'm told I get Friday off but I'll probably be able to take Monday instead.

Hmm. I'm off Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for PNWJAM, so I'll work one day that week. Sweet.

Here is a map to the camping area.

Depart Hwy 3 about 9KM east of Manning Park. (fill up with fuel in Hope or if you need also at Manning Park East Gate store)

This is the Placer Forest Service road. Right exit from Hwy 3 East bound.
Yes, the road in the middle of the corner/switchback.
Continue on it, over the bridge and up the hill. There will be a signed road to the right heading up hill.

Stay on this and follow it for many KM. You will get to a good Y in the road. From here you should be able to contact camp on the radio as you are now at the crest of the hill and looking down on camp.
At this Y, stay right and head downhill.
Continue on the main, and go past the old corral. You will then take a left off the main road onto a well work older road. Follow this older road to the campsite.

Anyone else joining us?

Would like to know who we are looking for and how much space we may need?

I will be heading up Thursday evening. Richard will be joining us.

Some are headed up Friday morning, afternoon and evening.

Anyone else need directions?

My Radiator is out being rebuilt, if I get back this week I'll be busy doing Jeep stuff in preparation for next weeks trip. If it doesn't show up I'll likely arrive Saturday with the camper and a bike on the little trailer.
