Post Driveshafts
So what driveshaft do u guys use?
Do you go with the name brands? woods or Adam's
Or is there someone local that makes them just as good ?

That trip up the firehouse pooched my front drive shaft.
Explains the grinding clacking noise I had.couldn't see the oil spray cuz it was all covered in the dust.
It's only making the noise when I change 4hi/4low. Boot is still intact ithink no tears but it heavily sprayed underneath
I posted a pic of it on Instagram #whitejeepbc
Iv done a some research and from what I understand is I shouldn't get a 1350 orless I want to destroy my stock axles. I want to keep my weakest point my u joint ? Some insight will be appreciated an other upgrades I should do at that time well I'm under there. Also should I pull the front driveshaft off for now? An how do I keep it from getting dirt n crap inside ? I don't want it to blow apart while I'm driving an causing more damage or worse to someone else.
Thanks in advance

Post Re: Driveshafts
I bought a custom double cardan 1310 driveshaft from Oliver’s Drivesshaft. Spicer U Joints.

You can take yours out and run in 2wd if you have flanges on each end which you should.

Yours is prob CV at the front and blew the CV boot. Would be weird for the spline boot to rip but even that isn’t catastrophic. Either shouldn’t come apart if you continue to drive it though.

If you switch to double cardan you may need to change your flanges to 1310 U joint flanges. My Dana 30 was a bit of a process as you need to change the crush sleeve. Not sure if you have a Rubicon with a 44 in the front. That may be easier.

Also your current drive shaft didn’t need service but a double cardan will need to be greased periodically.

JE Reel makes direct bolt in shafts to replace the stock shafts with the weird flange, just an option...

Not so stock, not so friendly.
