Post Club run & trail maintenance - May 5 - Hale Creek
As discussed at the meeting on Monday, our May day run will be to do some additional maintenance on the hard way down to Hale Creek. We need a good turnout of members with chainsaws, pruners and axes. The clearing we did last time only went about halfway down to the beach so we still have a bunch of work to do.

Meet at 9:30 at the Sasquatch, roll out at 10am. It might be a good idea for people to double up in their jeeps. One of the issues we had last time was that we were trimming brush and trees but then needed to run back to move the vehicles ahead over and over. With more people in each vehicle, only one person needs to do the moving while the rest continue trimming.

Post up here if you can make it. The trail maintenance will likely be weather dependent. No-one wants to do this work in a torrential downpour so if that seems likely, a different trip will be planned.

I’m going tomorrow.

Don’t wait up for me in case I’m running a little late.

Jeremy, the run is Sunday, not tomorrow.

I will need someone else to lead it for me. Unfortunately a perfect storm of crap is keeping me off the trail. I am coming down with a nasty cold or flu, the Jeep still isn’t back together, and I have to play in a symphony concert later in the afternoon so even if I could go, I would have to leave by about 11.

Sorry about this.

The good news is both the Jeep and I should be in much better condition for the May long weekend.
