Post Field Day (Ham Radio Event) June 24/25
Hello fellow hams,

Field day is coming this weekend. Virtually every club in the lower mainland will be having some kind of event. The Chilliwack Amateur Radio Club is hosting our field day at the Atchelitz Thresherman's Association 44140 Luckakuck Way (right next to the big red barns at Hwy 1 and Lickman Rd). We will be there from 9am Saturday through 11am Sunday.

Field day is all about getting on the air and using HF (20m through 160m) to make as many contacts as possible over a 24 hour period. Some clubs run it as a contest although our club is just there to camp out and enjoy the event. If we happen to make a few contacts, so much the better.

Our location is set up to permit camping. I am taking the RV down and so are a couple other members. There will be some food and beverages for guests if you choose to drop by. If you want to come out and camp, we are happy to have you join us. Hope to see some of you pop by if you can at some point over the weekend. If you are driving in, we will be monitoring 147.100+ t110.9 and we will also have APRS in operation so you can just follow your GPS to find us. The club callsign is VE7AFA.

73!
