Post Wildfire Restrictions
Here are two websites that list Off-Road Vehicle (OVR) restrictions:

http://bcfireinfo.for.gov.bc.ca/hprScri ... s/Bans.asp

Click on Forest Use for OVR info.

http://bcfireinfo.for.gov.bc.ca/hprScri ... sp?ID=2834

It contains links to a map and FAQ.

This is not an exhaustive list, other areas may be restricted as well by more local authorities.

Post Re: Wildfire Restrictions
There is a lot of "failure to communicate" going on right now with the provincial government taking the lead (and lack there of)

Provincial (BCwildfire, Sitesandtrailsbc), regional districts, and municipal are all putting out back country restrictions/non-restrictions that over lap each other and in some cases conflict with each other.

Communicated poorly to get their message out.

Articulated poorly as to what they are actually restricting and where.

Friday was a gong show from all levels of government. There was no "one voice". It appeared the levels below the provincial gave up waiting on the province to "do their thing" and just started doing it themselves.

Perhaps this week they will get their act together.

Cariboo-Chiltcotin area has now been closed to back country travel.

I suspect Kamloops-Okanagan will follow
