Post Hi All
Brand new to Jeeps and off roading. My girlfriend bought a 2019 Cherokee Trailhawk, and we are looking to try some light off roading, and see if we like it, before going down the Jeep rabbit hole of mods, lifts, and tires.

Anyway, hope to be out for some newbie runs.

Hey Tom,

Welcome to the Jeep world. We usually have club runs once a month and just had on today so stay tuned for upcoming run. We post all the details here and notifications on our Facebook and Instagram account as well. One of our members Carl also has a newer Cherokee so he would be a good person to talk to and wheel with as well.

Hey Tom and Buffy,

To be clear some of the Herd's members have some pretty nicely modded rigs that make keeping up a feat in itself (Unless you have a similarly modded vehicle). A Trailhawk Cherokee has some impressive traction enhancing electronics but the ground clearance is really the limiting factor. That said, the Herd members are all very accommodating and will certainly give you advice if the trail is suitable for your vehicle and will help you once you are on the trail.
Here is a video of a lightly modified Trailhawk that joined me on the Whipsaw trail last year. It did fine and it proved itself on some pretty good overland type of terrain. ... ex=10&t=4s
This Trailhawk had rocksliders, 2" lift, slightly bigger AT tires and a hidden winch (that we did use).

Nice to hear you want to get a bit of dirt on your Jeep. As all 4x4s should be driven.
