Sasquatch 4 Wheelers TOY RUN 2020 Covid Edition
Dear Contributors;
The Sasquatch 4 Wheel Drive Club is still continuing with our tradition hosting the 23rd Annual 4x4 Toy Run. Each Christmas season we see 4-wheel drive enthusiasts and other supporters gather at the Guildford Town Centre and convoy together to Bear Creek Park where their donations of toys, food and money are gratefully accepted by representatives of the Surrey Christmas Bureau and the Surrey Food Bank.
Last year we collected 152 toys and $1,790 in cash & gift certificates for the Surrey Christmas Bureau, while another 50+ food items were donated to the Surrey Food Bank. The North Surrey Lions Club prepared a “by-donation” pancake and sausage breakfast where $400 was also donated to the Surrey Christmas Bureau and food bank.
Participation and donations at the Annual 4x4 Toy Run has been consistent every year. The popularity of this community event is due, in no small part, to the wonderful feeling of Christmas spirit gained through the giving and sharing with those in need.
Since we are not able to gather in person, as we have in years past we are asking for cash donations. The Christmas Bureau has said they are in desperate need this year and the cash donations actually go further as they are able to purchase in large quantities. We would greatly appreciate your consideration in making any donation, regardless of its size or value, which will help contribute to the success of this year’s event.
E-Transfers can be made to elainegreen1@shaw.ca on behalf of the Sasquatch 4 wheelers and receipts will be issued by the Surrey Christmas Bureau.
The club normally does a Sunday fun day after our event every year and we would love to invite you to come out to Gill Road on December 6. We will be out there for the day and will also be accepting donations. Would love to see you. Just look for the Sasquatch banner.
